GÉANT require partners who can provide suitably skilled engineers able to perform work at each of its current and future Point of Presence locationThe supplier is expected to provide resource capable of performing tasks such as equipment installation & de-installation, site survey, site audit, fibre and copper cabling, link testing and basic commissioning work and live service migrations on the IP router and Optical equipment deployed at the sites. Supplies may also be asked to quote for and supply basic installation consumables subject to specific scope or works.Activities will predominantly be in working hours, but out of hours working may be requested on rare occasion depending on the criticality of the work.

GÉANT is a not-for profit organisation, acting as central purchasing body for the benefit of its members.By aggregating demand through a European open procurement procedure, it put in place Framework Agreements for cloud (IaaS+) services, connecting these to the Pan European Research and Education IT ecosystems and to the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). The purpose of the procurement initiative is to bridge the demand and supply sides for Infrastructure, Platform and Software as a Service (IaaS+) and to be able to contract these services via Call off Contract through these Framework Agreements. The procurement has been conducted as an Open Procedure in accordance with the Dutch Public Procurement Act (Aanbestedingswet 2012, revised 1 July 2016). The open procedure has been divided into 39 lots. Each lot represents 1 Country where several Framework Agreements have been awarded. The combined value of services over the lifespan of the Frameworks Agreements over all lots is estimated at EUR 1807000000. In some countries a bank guarantee may be required to adhere to local laws. The GÉANT Vereniging is owned by its core membership of 39 European National Research and Education Network (NREN) organisations and NORDUnet, which participates on behalf of five Nordic NRENs.GÉANT executes this tender procedure on behalf of its members and may also act as a purchasing body on behalf of those members.The purpose of the procurement initiative is to bridge the demand and supply sides for Infrastructure- Platform- and Software as a Service (IaaS+). It is being conducted as an Open Procedure in accordance with the Dutch Public Procurement Act (Aanbestedingswet 2012, revised 1 July 2016.The Open Procedure is divided in 40 Lots. Each Lot represents 1 Country. Per Lot a number of Frameworks can be awarded.The combined value of services over the lifespan of the Frameworks agreements over all Lots is estimated at € 600.000.000,-.
